New Contender in the X-Factor Style War! It's Week 4!

What a shocker this week no Kelly Rowland!  Looks like she's back in the US.

So it's Alexandra Burke who's steping in!  Now let's face it we all found her very annoying especially with her cocky comments but we have to put that to the back of our minds and think about how she got on on the style front????

Saturday

Alexandra

She enters the competition wearing a glam sequin mini and black shoe boots.  She looks good and showing off (as she should!) those killer legs.

Tulisa

She definately had balls to wear this outfit I'll give her that!  Tulisa when for this S&M leather cat suit. But lets face it a cat is the outfit you dress as when you can't think of what to go as!  Could no-one think of better custume than this for Halloween??  If your gonna dress up then do it properly and reallly go for it don't just put some ears on.

Sunday

Alexandra

Ohhh I like this printed shift dress!  She looks good!  The design on this dress is beautiful and she's wearing it well. It's designed by Jonathan Saunders.

Tulisa

Now we know it's Halloween but looking spooky should not get in the way of being stylish! Tulia wearing quite a dramatic gown.

Conclusion

This weeks winner goes too........

Putting all her comments a side and purely on her outfit choices alone it has to go to Alexandra Burke.

May The Style War Begin! It's Week 1

THE X Factor is back  and we love it!  And now we're up to the live shows here comes our favouite part!

Who comes out on top on the style front??  Last year Danni was our clear winner but who will it be this year?

It's Kelly versus Tulisa bring it on!!!!

As the series gets underway we'll be bringing you our views and verdict on the outfits worn by the judges.  Also we'll be really keen to hear what you all think of the outfits!!

WEEK ONE

Saturday - First Live Show

Kelly

Mmmm what did we think of Kelly's bold green and black Versace number? I am not keen at all!  To be honest it reminded me of something you would wear for Irish dancing!

Tulisa

Tulisa played it safe by wearing a curve-hugging nude Herve Leger by Max Azria bandage dress as we've seen on so many celebs now.  Dull colour and when she was sat in her judges seat we hardly even noticed it.

What's everyone's opinions about her hair colour?  Blonde streeks at the front going into brown??  I much prefered her hair brown.

Sunday - First Live Elimination

Kelly

I have to say all eyes were definately on Kelly Rowland who dazzled in a figure-hugging Roberto Cavalli feathered and sequin swan-like dress.  It was a beautiful dress and played wonderfully to her strengths showcasing her killer legs!

Tulisa

Tulisa was deafinately outshone by Kelly's glamorous gown, wearing a high shine cowl neck metallic mini.  I love that she's introduced some colour tonight though!  The bright pink lippy and purple heels work really well with this outfit.

Conclusion

This weeks winner goes too........

Although both Saturday nights outfits were a disappointment for the beautiful dress she wore on Sunday, it has to be Kelly Rowland.

Shopping Shopping and More Shopping........

Personal Shopping with Chameleon Image Consultancy in the Northwest – Liverpool One, Manchester, The Trafford Centre

Thinking About Hitting the Shops???

Maybe you’re thinking of heading to Liverpool One, The Trafford Centre or Manchester?

Here's a few of my shopping secrets..............................

·         Be prepared!  - Before hitting the shops, have a think about what you want and also how much you can realistically spend.  Maybe you could write a list - this way when you’re out shopping you’re not going to lose sight or forget what you’re looking for (or in my case start to get distracted by some beautiful accessories!!!)

·         Underwear – I would always advise clients to wear invisible nude/seamless underwear when out shopping.  Let's face it there’s nothing worse than bad knicker line seen through a dress!

·         Wear a good shopping outfit! wear slip on shoes like ballet pumps, a pair of jeans and an easy to pull on and off top to save you from getting into a fitting room frenzy or thinking I can't be bothered to try this on it's going to take too long to get undressed!

·         Wear make-up – you always feel better when you’ve got your make-up on and remember there's no hiding from all the mirrors in the changing rooms.

·         Bring your heels with you! – Especially if you’ve already got your killer heels which you know you’re going to wear with the outfit your looking for.  Bring them with you when you’re shopping, this way you can get a real feel for how the outfit's going to look.

·         Stick to your shopping rules!
1.      Does this fit me properly?
2.      Do I feel good in this?
3.      Does this work for my body shape and proportions?
4.      Does the colour work for my colourings? The colour swatch you will get after a colour consultation will help with this!

·         Give yourself a chance! -  Never shop when you are hungry and tired. Bad decisions are made on an empty stomach and when you generally not feeling good! Liverpool One, Manchester and The Trafford Centre all have great places to stop off for a bite to eat!

·         Take your time! - Give yourself plenty of time in the shops.  Shopping should be enjoyable not a military operation!  You need to allow yourself to make decisions for good reasons, not in a rush.

·         Shop with a pro! – If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the choices why not let me take all the stress away and do all the hard bits for you!

For more details check out our website now on;

or Call me on 07809740048

We currently offer personal shopping trips all over the northwest including Liverpool One,  The Trafford Centre and Manchester.

·         Go with your gut! - If you have to talk yourself into it, it's not right, so pass.

Dress Code: Bright Colours Encouraged

Tricks to Wearing Bright Colours!
Think about the red carpet best-dressed lists. It’s rarely the actresses in black who grab the headlines, is it? It’s the stars in the super bright shades that get the flashbulbs popping.

Wearing not just colour but the right colours can do amazing things for your skin tone, hair colour, and general overall appearance.  Whist basic black will forever be a wardrobe staple; adding in a few more colours can spice up your wardrobe and add real interest and personality to your look.

Bright colours aren’t as tricky to pull off as you may think……
“The key to wearing bright colours is balance,” advises Stephanie Tyson, Personal stylist at Chameleon Image Consultancy Liverpool. “Just by adding a bit of colour here and there to your outfit can really lift a look you don’t need head to toe colour.  A good example of this is if you were to team a bright red pussy bow blouse with skinny fit trousers and a tailored blazer (both of which are in neutral colours), the blouse will add a sharp injection of colour to your look, but the classic pieces will anchor it.”

My Top Tips for an Instant Colourful Wardrobe Lift!

Start small and work your way up.
Start gradually, and work your way up to wearing colour. Try to avoid throwing on several items in different colours at once as this will put you back to square one! It will feel too full on and too much too soon. Start with one important statement piece of colour and go from there!

Black is not the only neutral!
There is nothing wrong with black – it’s one of my favourites and can make quite a sharp edge to any outfit. However it can be all too easy to rely on black and it can be overused.  If you wear black because you can’t think of anything else to wear, then you need to find a new neutral. There is navy blue, nude, grey and brown which are all options too.

Choose colours that work with your skin and hair.
If you haven’t already, you should book in for a Colour Analysis Consultation.  Once you know what looks good on you, it’s 1000 times easier to wear colour without fear. Remember: start small. Incorporate one or two of those colours into your wardrobe, get used to them, and build from there you would learn more about this from a full colour Analysis Consultation.

A colourful Shoe Choice.
Bright shoes are a fun way to lift an outfit – with no fear that the colour isn’t slimming
.

The great thing about bright shoes is that they jazz up even the most boring outfit, and they always stand out in a crowd. Red shoes with a little black dress or hot pink heels paired with jeans and a top – either way, you can’t go wrong.

A bright bag
A coloured bag ensures your day-to-day look is never dreary.  Bright bags also a hot trend and another simple way to make your outfit more colourful. While black and brown handbags are super popular because they “go with everything”, bright ones are just as versatile! The trick to picking the right colourful bag? Make sure the colour co-ordinates well with the rest of the colours in your wardrobe.

Find a colourful dress.
A colourful dress is a definite head turner, if you are unsure about colour and which to go for then once you have had a Colour Analysis consultation this will be a lot easier to find – as you’ll have your own personalised swatch made for you when you’re out shopping.  My advice would be to look for a red dress. Red is actually very wearable, and delivers an instant confidence hit.
Get Some colourful jewellery.
Paired with a neutral outfit, a bright piece of jewellery can really stand out and be seen. Try this yourself by choosing one colourful piece – perhaps a chunky turquoise bracelet or bright cocktail ring, and wearing it with a simple top/jeans combo or a little black dress.

What about some colourful accessories.
Too often I see clients forgetting bout these!

Bright accessories are brilliant because they’re cheap and so easy to add to your outfit.  A really simple way to add some colour to your outfit.  Think about your belts, scarves, gloves, hats even your tights!

The most important colours to think about are the colours which are closest to your face.  Since scarves sit right next to your face, a very bright colour can be draining especially if it is in the wrong shade.   My advice would be to try something multi-coloured instead; it’s a much safer bet and can suddenly add personality to a dark coloured coat!

Bright tights are also a fun way to enliven your look, and they’re very on-trend as well.

Just have fun!
Have fun with colour and enjoy yourself! Experts say wearing colour gives you the same feeling as when the sun shines!
